Lion F. and the Rolling Stones: ostensibly no connection, but……as an attention-grabber to coincide with the Stones concerts in Berlin next week Friedrich Knilli, webmaster of www.feuchtwanger2008.de, has whittled down the six degrees of separation to about three (the upcoming film Sympathy with the Devil is based on Ich war Jud Süss, the biography of actor Ferdinand Marian, who played Süss in the Veit Harlan film). German version of Friedrich’s update here; English translation by Ian Wallace here. According to Michaela Ullmann at the FML, there have so far been no negotiations between ZDF and either the FML or Aufbau over film rights for the Jud Süss project (see earlier post), though Regina Henrich-Dieler of ZDF has confirmed that the idea is under discussion.
